Blog # 12 Current View of technology in the classroom

I believe that incorporating technology into education is very important. To begin with, I think that using technology in the classroom is a great way to transform teaching. I believe that technology can serve as one of the best teaching tools. For example, I think some of the best benefits of technology is that it is highly motivational, increases confidence, delivers more options, spreads across the curriculum, engages students, encourages active learning, can help organize and keep track of classroom materials, saves time, connects instructors and learners to new and different methods, enhances communication and collaboration, and overall technology skills are one of the most important tools to be skillful at to succeed in the real world. With all of these areas provided and increased due to technology, students will be able to learn a lot more than ever before because of the fact that technology speeds everything up. The more materials, activities, and options that are available, the better educational experience students will receive. Furthermore, one of the benefits that I think is the most beneficial use of technology in education is how much it helps with students who have exceptionalities. These students in particular are left behind more often and there are fewer resources available to fit their particular needs, but with technology, these students can receive the general curriculum in a general education classroom. In all, I will use as much technology as possible in my classroom because I think the benefits will enhance and expand a child’s learning more than any other technology tool.
