Blog Post # 9

This website deals with integrating technology within the elementary classroom and would be a great source for both teachers and students. The site has an endless amount of information, games, resources, programs, quizzes, etc., that would be both useful and educational for everyone. For example, for teachers, there is information on just about everything a teacher would need to know in order to incorporate technology within her classroom. There are no more excuses because this site does everything from teaching the teacher the basics of email, to how to use programs like PowerPoint, to setting up Epals, which is a great way to learn about other cultures, develop email skills, communicate with students from around the world, and develop good writing skills. For students, there are games and quizzes in the areas such as math, reading, spelling, social studies, and science. I think this website is great because it is a new database of ideas that lead students, as well as teachers into the new technology era of information, communication, and discovery. Also, it is easy to use and all of the information needed in order to learn how to incorporate technology within the classroom is all in one site!

Kody,
I think this website sounds very useful, and I like how it can be used for both teachers and students. I also like how the website includes how to use technology based things such as e-mails, powerpoints and other computer related programs because some teachers are not the best with computers and this would really help them learn how to use it. I also like how it seems easy to use, and is a great way to incorporate technology in the classroom.

I think that your website sounds very useful. Especially when it comes to trying to figure out how to do new computer programs. It is also nice that it is a website for both the students and the teacher. They can then explore the site together teaching each other new things about the site. Offering help on how to use powerpoint and e-mail is a great idea. It is nice to know that there are sites out there to help teachers learn how to work programs. This way if they do not have time during the school day to get someone to help them with a new program they can work at home by themselves on how to learn a new program. I agree with you last sentence it is nice to have a place where you can do it all. It makes life alot less stressful!

Wow! That really is an awesome site! This database is perfect for both students and teachers! I really like how it has everything from the basics to the advanced applications of using technology in the classroom for teachers. Some people are computer savvy while others are terrified of it. So having guidance for even the simple technology integrations and uses can be really useful to teachers. The fact that its for students as well, is something that I haven't seen a lot of concerning technology in the classroom, and would be a fantastic resource and way for them to improve not only their technical skills but their overall learning by getting them interested in what they're learning about.
